Two-factor authentication adds a second step when signing in, making your account much harder to compromise.

1. Install an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy.
2. In your account security settings, choose Enable 2FA.
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm, then save your backup codes somewhere safe.

Never share your codes with anyone — IT will never ask for them.

Accounts usually lock after several failed sign-in attempts as a security measure.

• Wait 15 minutes and try again with the correct password.
• Use Lost your password? to reset if you are unsure of your password.
• Still locked out? Open a ticket and include the username and roughly when the lockout started.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself:

1. Go to the login page and click Lost your password?
2. Enter your username or email address.
3. Check your email for a reset link (check spam if it does not arrive within a few minutes).
4. Choose a strong new password — at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
